Speaking on RhythmzLive on GHONE TV this afternoon, self-acclaimed dancehall queen and the singer of Toffee hit song some years ago said she is the original dancehall queen so her other colleague Mzvee is not a dancehall Artist . When asked by the host of the popular TV show RhythmzLive Berla Mundi she said she is the original dancehall queen.
Kakie said Mzvee does good music but the type of music she does is not call Dancehall because she uses Pigin but not Patois. Dancehall is made of patios and that is exactly what I do.
The Singer of the Toffee hit song says she has pending plans that she is going to execute surely before the year ends. I recorded a couple of songs that I will release before the end of the year.
Does dancehall have to be necessarily part of your song before it is called Dancehall?
What about the other Dancehall artist like Shatta Wale, Stonebwoy and Samini that uses local language in their songs. Does it mean they are also not Dancehall Artists?
