MP for Oforikrom constituency in the Ashanti Region Hon. ELIZABETH AGYEMAN (People's Mother)and also founder and leader for Easy Birth Foundation and People's Mother foundation an NGO that seek the welfare and well-being of women in this country has urge parents nationwide to stop using teenage pregnancy as a punishment on their children when they get pregnant at their teen age.
Speaking at the colorful launch of her new foundation *"Easy Birth Foundation"*she said is her greatest worries and always sadness her heart when she sees pregnant women being maltreated especially teenagers all because they got pregnant at their teen age.
Further on she lamented that some parents even go to the extend of starving these pregnant women in the name of punishment to deter them from doing it again, according her is totally wrong.
She said during that period is time they need love, proper care and affection most and even the appropriate time to advice but not rejecting.
In view of the launch over 360 pregnant women mostly teenagers were screened and given some vital items for their pregnancy for free.
Hon . Elizabeth therefore urge parents and advice young guys and men to stop chasing and impregnating these innocent ladies and warn ladies of today to be mindful of what they wear (put on) and how they get closer to these men
Finally she urge stakeholders, private entity and everyone to come on board to support her foundation to eliminate maternal death because, 380 women of every 100000 women lose their lives through delivery.
